Snack
Hello families! Every month a snack calendar will come home. A snack bucket will be sent home with your child the day before they are scheduled to bring snack. A few reminders:
· The snack does not need to fit into the bucket. If it is too big, put it in their backpack or send it in a plastic sack and send the snack bucket back empty.
· The snack MUST be in it’s original packaging. If it is not, we cannot eat it and it will be sent back home.
· Please try to send a snack that is on the Safe and Healthy Snack Ideas list (Could include but not limited to:)
o Fruits or Vegetables in whole form that can be washed
o Individually sealed cheese sticks
o Crackers (wheat, saltine)
o Graham crackers (plain, chocolate or cinnamon)
o Goldfish crackers
o Ritz Bitz (cheese filled only)
o Chex Mix (not Doritos snack mix)
o Frozen yogurt tubes
o Pretzels
o Low sugar cereal (Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Life, Mini Wheats, etc.)
o Individually sealed fruit cups
o Granola or cereal bars (not chocolate covered)
o Animal crackers
· Your child will be signed up to bring snack on their birthday. Birthday treats do not need to be considered ‘healthy’.
· Our class does not have any peanut allergies this year but children in other classrooms might. If at all possible, try to avoid any snack containing peanuts.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me! If for whatever reason you are unable to bring snack, please let me know.
